Nicholas Springer
Nicholas Springer qualified in 1971 with one of the 'Big Four' firms - Whinney Murray (later part of Ernst and Young) - and spent a further year with that firm gaining additional experience.
He joined the family firm of Alexander Springer & Co. in 1972 and was admitted into partnership in July 1973. The firm was founded in 1932 by his great uncle in Spitalfields Market and consequently specialised in the wholesale fruit and vegetable trade. These connections exist today and Westbury still act for several businesses in this sector .
Nicholas is also involved in assisting some of the overseas new start up companies formed by Companies Made Simple.
Alexander Springer & Co. merged with Westbury in 1995 and since then Nicholas has developed his portfolio of clients in other directions, including the property and leisure sectors, and he now acts for many overseas clients.
With his wife, Rosalyn , he has been involved over the years in fundraising for several charities, one of which , The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys, assists over 1800 children a year. He is also actively involved with Magen David Adom - Israel's primary ambulance service. Other interests include bridge, golf, travel, the arts and good eating.
