Paul Archer Design
Paul Archer Design is a young award-winning architectural firm.
Formed in 1999, our London office offers a bespoke architectural interior and garden design services for discerning homeowners. Having established ourselves over recent years as one of the premier house designers, we have been commissioned by celebrities from the world of music through to finance.
Our work is highly published - frequently appearing in Elle Decoration and House & Garden, national papers such as the Guardian Weekend and the Financial Times.
Our projects have also featured on Channel 4’s ‘Other People’s Homes’ and ‘Grand Designs’, and last year we received the Architects’ Journal ‘Small Project of the Year’ award - with our work being exhibited at the RIBA and the V&A.
We achieve excellence in design by the application of a carefully thought out method. This unique process guides and involves our clients through the design development, ensuring that, like a well-cut suit, the ‘house’ fits the lifestyle of its inhabitants.
At the start of a project we prepare three concept designs based on each clients’ brief to create an innovative and modern, yet practical design. A pricing is then carried out on a range of different specifications to ensure an appropriate budget it set.
Having received Planning Permission for approximately 80% of projects we’ve been involved in since inception, and successfully leading contentious Planning applications, means that we are aware of, and prepared for, many issues that may arise – and, of course, experience means that we are equipped to tackle them with in a sensitive and timely way.
The planning process takes a few months and we ensure a smooth transition through this process via constant liaison with both client and planning officials.
Our detailed design services fully integrate the building and interiors. Many of our schemes are energy conscious and our skill is to provide an advanced environment without compromising the simplicity of the architectural space.
And once our client has moved in, we continue to work closely with them ensuring that any construction ‘loose ends’ are tied up – and often advise on furniture too.
