Charters and companies
Royal
Charters can be issued very infrequently and currently the percentage
charity organisations which have been formed by royal charter are less than
10 percent.
They
are only provided to companies whose purpose if stated as for the benefit of
society or for the members.
Approximately
sixteen thousand charities in the UK are registered by guarantee which is approximately
10 percent of all of those charities registered.
The
vats majority of charities continue to be run according to their individual
constitutions and trust deeds. The table below shows a breakdown of the
