The coding system used by Companies
House
Companies
House assign each non profit related companies with a code. This aid
analysis of both current numbers and also trends which develop over time.
The codes assigned to a particular company represent the field of activity
which that entity is engaged in.
Whilst
there are many businesses for which any code would not be exactly appropriate,
some of the companies fail to submit a code and hence the "other" category
makes up over half to the total codes available. This therefore limits
the meaningful analysis which can be gained from studying the figure
presented below.
